Yailin Simon, BSN, RN, CWS

Yailin attended Florida International University, graduating with a bachelor’s in nursing. She also became certified in wound care through the American Board of Wound Management and has been a wound care nurse for five years. She is passionate about skin and healing. Wound care allows Yailin to make a direct impact, helping patients recover and improve their quality of life. As a wound care nurse, her favorite part of the job is witnessing the transformation, healing wounds, and restoring patients’ quality of life. She has the privilege of treating their wounds and offering them comfort, reassurance, and a sense of dignity. The trust that develops, the small victories in healing, and the gratitude in a patient’s eyes when they realize they’re improving…those moments are what make my work truly fulfilling. Knowing that my care helps someone regain their mobility, confidence, and well-being is the greatest reward. She enjoys challenging herself by hiking difficult mountains, exploring national parks, traveling, and experiencing different cultures. She also enjoys playing tennis, following sports, especially the UFC, reading psychological books, and learning about the mind and human behavior. She practices yoga, and she LOVES eating falafels.
