Megan Basile was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She is a graduate of The American Musical Dramatic Academy in New York City. Megan was chosen to study with renowned "Ghost Soprano", Marni Nixon, who voice dubbed movie musicals such as “West Side Story” with Natalie Wood and "My Fair Lady" with Audrey Hepburn. Megan's passion is singing, dancing, acting, and playing piano, but through volunteering at an assisted living in 1997, she discovered her true calling. Megan is a certified recreational activity professional and has been serving as a recreational director for 20 years. As a therapeutic recreational professional, Megan uses her experience to educate professionals, teaching memory care techniques in Washington D.C. Megan has educated employees on the importance of music and fine arts in efforts of enriching the lives of seniors and other community residents on a daily basis. Megan is rather new to South Florida as she has decided to leave the cold once and for all! She comes to The Encore at Boca Raton with passion and a heart's desire to bring happiness, love, and a sense of belonging to our residents.
