Cynthia Roy, UZIT
Urban Zen Integrative Therapy (UZIT)
A yoga professional since 2014, Cynthia Roy offers a holistic approach to Western healthcare through the Urban Zen Program at our community and sister community, Jupiter. The UZIT Program extends services to patients, residents, caregivers, staff and community. Cynthia has studied Vinyasa Yoga in Nicaragua, Hatha Yoga and Pranayama in the motherland of yoga-India, as well as Restorative Yoga, Chair Yoga, Reiki and Meditation in the Americas, prior to becoming an Urban Zen Therapist in 2017. Additionally, she is a Certified Aromatherapist and views essential oils as medicine. All of these modalities have resulted in a beautiful integration with the capacity to meet anyone where they are in life. From a hospital bed, a chair, on a mat, atop a mountainside, next to a river bed, or even a checkout line at the grocery store, all places are welcomed platforms for yoga and meditation. Cynthia believes that a holistic approach is a necessary component for rehabilitation and recovery. Her passion for her practice is the opportunity to have communion of spirit and soul with an individual and meet them where they are in their healing journey. Although Cynthia is a Florida resident, who enjoys cooking, boating, beaching and scuba diving, she loves traveling and visits to the mountains for spring hiking and winter snowboarding.
